CENTRO Mi Diario had been previously recognized in the General Excellence in Spanish Language Publication category for the years 2005 and 2006 by the South Florida Chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists (SPJ).

"This latest award only shows what a very small, talented staff can accomplish through hard work and dedication," said Manuel Ballagas, editor of CENTRO Mi Diario and http://www.CentroTampa.com .
