Houston, TX–(HISPANIC PR WIRE)–September 12, 2005–Aeromexico, Mexico’s largest airline, announced today that it will provide complementary travel to Mexicans from Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Florida, affected by Hurricane Katrina.
With many displaced hurricane victims across the Gulf Coast and Florida seeking the comfort of family and friends outside the affected areas, Aeromexico is providing Mexicans who have lost their homes, jobs or have been otherwise affected by Hurricane Katrina, with one-way travel to return home.
Between September 12 and October 15, 2005, Aeromexico will provide complementary travel to Mexico City from its Atlanta, Miami, Houston and Dallas gateways. Mexicans wishing to return home are asked to contact their local Mexican Consulate, which will handle the verification process, and provide temporary documentation to those who may have lost their identification during the storm. The airline will coordinate flight arrangements for those seeking assistance directly with the consulates. Upon arrival in Mexico City, they will be assisted by local government agencies as needed.
