Northbrook, IL–(HISPANIC PR WIRE)–August 28, 2007–Allstate, one of the nation’s leading insurance companies, has launched a multi-faceted initiative in association with the Fundación Astros del Futbol to support Hispanic youth and reach out to Spanish-speaking consumers and their communities.
Allstate is the exclusive auto, home, and life insurance sponsor of the Federación Mexicana de Fútbol (FMF) in 2007. To promote this sponsorship, Allstate has hit the road in a special vehicle that features a custom paint job in the national colors of Mexico with the FMF logo and a state-of-the-art mobile entertainment experience. The Allstate-FMF vehicle is making appearances this summer at cultural festivals and community events in 20 cities across six states. Consumers are invited to enter a free drawing for a chance to win the one-of-a-kind vehicle during halftime at Mexico’s exhibition match against China on Wednesday, October 17 at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.
For every mile the customized Allstate-FMF vehicle travels, Allstate will contribute one dollar to Fundación Astros del Futbol, a nonprofit organization dedicated to building pride within low-income communities through youth soccer. With contributions from individuals and companies such as Allstate, the organization refurbishes neighborhood soccer fields, buys uniforms and equipment for kids, and pays coaches and league fees for teams. Mexican soccer legends Luis Roberto Alves ‘Zague’ and Martín ‘El Pulpo’ Zúñiga are strong supporters of the Fundación Astros del Futbol through fundraising, public appearances and other activities in communities throughout the U.S. and Mexico.
“Allstate is a company that understands and cares about the Hispanic community,” commented ‘Zague.’ “Soccer is more than simply a sport to us. It enhances the quality of our lives and makes us who we are.”
“As a company dedicated to be the best for over 75 years, Allstate is pleased to join with one of the best teams and some of the best players in soccer in order to enrich the lives of our customers, their families and communities,” said Pete Moraga, Jr., a spokesperson for Allstate. “We’re proud to sponsor games of the Selección Mexicana and support the community work of the Fundación.”
