NEW YORK–(HISPANIC PR WIRE – BUSINESS WIRE)–Sept. 3, 2002–American Express Publishing Corporation and Editorial Televisa, S.A. DE C.V. announce the launch of Travel + Leisure en Espanol.
The first issue, October 2002, is scheduled to be on newsstands in late September with an initial distribution of 120,000 copies and an equivalent cover price of between US $3.00 and US $4.00 based on local currencies. Travel + Leisure en Espanol will be sold in 17 countries across Latin America and the Caribbean, including major markets such as Mexico, Chile, and Argentina, as well as Puerto Rico and selected Spanish-speaking areas within the United States.
Reynaldo Ales has been named editor in chief of Travel + Leisure en Espanol. Most recently, Mr. Ales was editor in chief of Men’s Fitness en Espanol and editor in chief of Motor Trend en Espanol. Other past positions include Associate Editor of Newsweek en Espanol and Managing Editor at Airboard Inflight Magazines. He has also been a freelance travel writer-photographer.
