St. Louis, MO–(HISPANIC PR WIRE)–June 18, 2007–Anheuser-Busch, Inc., in its continued support of the Hispanic Scholarship Fund (HSF), recently sponsored a national concert tour featuring renowned entertainer and actor Chayanne. Proceeds from the concert benefited the HSF and will be used to provide college scholarships to Latino students nationwide.

In the past 25 years, Anheuser-Busch and its family of wholesalers have helped raise more than $23 million and award more than 18,000 college scholarships through the Hispanic Scholarship Fund, the nation’s largest Hispanic scholarship organization. Anheuser-Busch is one of the HSF’s largest corporate contributors and involves its distributors, retailers and consumers in fund-raising efforts.

In addition to underwriting the concert series, Anheuser-Busch donated one dollar ($1.00) per ticket sold to the Chayanne concerts in Miami, Los Angeles, San Jose, Houston and Chicago. The total Anheuser-Busch contribution amounted to more than $100,000 in donations to the HSF. Chayanne and Cardenas Marketing Network joined Anheuser-Busch’s fundraising efforts by matching the $1.00 contribution.

Founded in 1975, HSF’s vision is to strengthen the country by advancing college education among Hispanic Americans. In support of its objective, HSF provides the Latino community more college scholarships and educational outreach support than any other organization in the country. HSF’s programs have reached more than 41,000 Latino students and parents last year providing valuable information on how to best plan and prepare for college.
Anheuser-Busch’s support of the Latino community dates back more than a century. The company supports approximately 400 community-based, local and national Latino organizations with contributions totaling nearly $52 million during the past two decades.
