AREAA has initiated a number of international programs under Chair Kathy Tsao, spurred by rising interest in U.S. real estate from foreign buyers. According to a recent study by the National Association of Realtors®, international buyers purchased $82B in U.S. real estate in 2010, up from the $66B reported the previous year. Foreign buyers came from over 70 countries, with nearly a quarter coming from Asian markets.
