NEW YORK, Oct. 15 /PRNewswire-HISPANIC PR WIRE/ — The following letter is being issued by Constantine Cannon LLP:
Constantine Cannon LLP, Lead Counsel for U.S. merchants in the Visa Check/MasterMoney Antitrust Litigation (CV 96-5238), advises Class Members as follows:
Notices of estimated cash payment awards for PIN Debit damages will be mailed on October 15, 2008 to Class Members that completed the PIN Debit portion of their Claim Forms. These Class Members are U.S. merchants that installed PIN pads and accepted PIN Debit transactions at some time during the period of October 1992 through July 2003 and therefore are eligible to receive payment for PIN Debit overcharges.
PIN Debit Class Members that agree with their estimated cash payment awards do not have to do anything further upon receipt of the notices and will receive their payments upon Court authorization. Class Members wishing to challenge their estimated cash payment awards have 30 days from the date of the letter to do so.
Lead Counsel expects that payments for online PIN Debit overcharges will begin in December 2008, but certain factors could affect the timing of this distribution.
Additional information regarding the claims and payment process is available by calling 1-888-641-4437 or visiting the case website at: http://www.inrevisacheckmastermoneyantitrustlitigation.com.
