New York, NY–(HISPANIC PR WIRE – BUSINESS WIRE)–October 31, 2007–Barnes & Noble, Inc. (NYSE: BKS), the world’s largest bookseller, will open a new bookstore on November 14 in Palms Crossing at 3300 West Expressway 83, McAllen, Texas. The store will stock close to 200,000 book, music, DVD and magazine titles and include a cafe serving Starbucks coffee. The new Palms Crossing Barnes & Noble will be open from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Sunday, and employ approximately 50 people from the community.
The public is invited to a Preview Night Party at the new Palms Crossing Barnes & Noble on Tuesday, November 13, from 6 to 9 p.m. A portion of the Preview Night sales will benefit Thigpen-Zavala Elementary School. Musician Dulce Maria Gonzalez will perform throughout the evening. Froggy from the Froggy series of children’s books will be on hand to meet his fans.
