Washington, DC–(HISPANIC PR WIRE)–July 21, 2006–The National Association of Hispanic Publications, Inc. (NAHP, Inc) is gearing up for its 2006 Ad Summit in Chicago from August 24 -25 at the Allegro Hotel with knowledgeable entrepreneurs of the print industry who will participate in panels, lead discussions and moderate seminars.

Participants will include Bill Gato, the President and a partner of Hispanic Digital Network, INC (HDN). As a leader in the new media and digital media innovations within the print industry, Gato will be participating in a panel discussion on the importance of electronic media entitled “Creating Alliances: Hispanic Publications with Hispanic Electronic Media and New Media,” which will be held on Friday, August 25 at 9:00 a.m. Gato will focus on the strategies of forming alliances with networks of new media and digital media, a trend he says is becoming increasingly more important.

“Hispanic print publications are seeking ways to create distinct and powerful experiences on the Internet, to grow their audiences and to generate new online and digital revenue streams,” Gato said. “One of the ways they believe they can accomplish this is to form alliances with digital and new media partners. However, those partnerships need to make strategic sense, otherwise publishers risk falling into a ‘convergence trap.”

The focus of the Ad Summit is to highlight the changes taking place in the Hispanic print industry in the U.S. by revealing trends, research, as well as case studies of effective ad campaigns through Hispanic print.
