GUAYNABO, Puerto Rico, Feb. 2, 2012 /PRNewswire-HISPANIC PR WIRE/ — Chief Executive Officer, Wallace Pond, Ph.D., announced the appointment of career education industry veteran, Gilbert Polanco, as Chief Admissions Officer of Eduk Group, the largest provider of private, postsecondary education in Puerto Rico with institutions in the United States focused on serving the growing Hispanic market.
As Chief Admissions Officer, Polanco will lead the admissions efforts for Eduk Group units in Puerto Rico and the United States, including Instituto de Banca y Comercio (IBC), National University College (NUC), Ponce Paramedical College (POPAC), Florida Technical College (FTC) and the online division of National University College. He will work with the admissions team in establishing and executing the strategy for enrollment growth.
Polanco has nearly 20 years’ experience in the private education sector, primarily in the admissions arena in multi-campus systems of major career education providers. Most recently, he served as Divisional Vice President of Marketing and Admissions at Career Education Corporation (CEC) with a strong track record in managing admissions in 17 campuses throughout the United States. He also has served in executive roles with Career Education Institute and Corinthian Colleges, Inc.
