Santa Monica, CA–( HISPANIC PR WIRE – BUSINESS WIRE)–March 29, 2007–CityView, a national discretionary housing investor led by CityView Chairman and former HUD Secretary Henry Cisneros, and CityView President and third-generation homebuilder Joel Shine, recently appointed Vivian Ramirez as vice president of human resources and administration.

In this position, Ramirez will be responsible for consulting with the management team regarding talent implications on all aspects of CityView’s business strategy, which includes organizational structure, performance standards and recognition plans. She will serve as a liaison between employees and management to ensure that all human resource practices and performance management systems support the company’s corporate objectives and strategic plan.

Previously, Ramirez held various operational roles at the Los Angeles Family Housing Corporation, and a position on the executive management team as director of human resources. Ramirez created and led the agency’s first formal human resources department during a significant agency growth spurt that doubled the number of staff to over 200. In 2004, Ramirez was promoted to chief operating officer where she further developed her ability to communicate with executive-level management and build strong working relationships. Her valuable experience will help CityView continue to develop quality housing for America’s working families.
