CMN and Billboard Join Forces to Produce Latin Music Concert Series

--Unique entertainment initiative to start in 2010--

CHICAGO, May 20 /PRNewswire-HISPANIC PR WIRE/ — The leading Latin music and entertainment companies from the U.S. and Latin America, Cardenas Marketing Network (CMN) and Billboard, the premier global music brand, have joined forces to present a series of Latin music concerts beginning next year. These consumer events will be held at intimate venues in five top U.S. Hispanic markets such as Miami, Los Angeles, Chicago, New York and Houston, leading up to the 2010 Billboard Latin Music Awards.

The Billboard Latin Music Concert Series, tentatively scheduled to begin in February 2010, will feature performances by Billboard Latin Music Award finalists along with other major acts across all genres of Latin music.

This year’s award finalists and winners included Wisin y Yandel, Aventura, Flex, Jenni Rivera, Mana, Daddy Yankee and Enrique Iglesias, amongst many other artists topping today’s Billboard Latin charts.

Tickets to the Billboard Latin Music Concert Series will only be available through promotions held by event sponsors, and consumers will have to be active and involved with the brand in order to win tickets to the shows. Additionally, a V.I.P. reception and viewing section will be available at each show for sponsors to host their colleagues and clients.

“We are extremely fortunate to be working with Billboard on this great new venture,” said Elena Sotomayor, Sr. Vice President of Marketing and Sales for CMN. “I have no doubt that our relationship with Billboard will provide us with greater opportunities for our sponsors and clients while allowing them to connect emotionally with the most passionate Latin music fans.”

“We’re thrilled to be collaborating with CMN to produce intimate and exciting events for Latin music fans across the country,” said Cebele Marquez, Sponsorship Manager for Billboard. “The Billboard Latin Music Concert Series is a perfect opportunity to expand our footprint in the Latin music market, and I can’t think of a better way to celebrate the Billboard Latin Music Award finalists leading up to the awards show.”
