San Francisco, CA–(HISPANIC PR WIRE)–June 5, 2007–La Alianza de Fútbol Hispano, the nation’s leading organization dedicated to the development and support of amateur Hispanic soccer, today officially announced the schedule of the 2007 Copa Alianza (previously known as Copa Lowe’s). Copa Alianza, a series of local and regional soccer tournaments scheduled to take place from June through December in ten cities throughout the United States, will kick off the 2007 season on June 9th in New York (see schedule below). The Copa Alianza national tournament series showcases the top adult, Hispanic amateur teams in the country and provides a unique opportunity for corporate marketers to reach hundreds of thousands of Hispanic soccer players and their families throughout the United States.

This year’s local tournaments will take place in nine of the same cities as in 2006, with Washington D.C. hosting a local qualifier for the first time. The local tournaments will showcase the top teams from the Hispanic amateur men’s soccer leagues in each market. The local tournament champions will in turn be competing for the title “Best Hispanic Amateur Team” in the country. More than $90,000 in prize money and awards will be offered in 2007 throughout the series of tournaments.
