PANAMA CITY, Panama–(HISPANIC PR WIRE – BUSINESS WIRE)–Nov. 14, 2003–Copa Airlines announced today it has begun offering electronic ticketing (eTickets) to facilitate travel to the 30 destinations the airline serves in North, Central and South America and the Caribbean.
Copa also offers interline electronic ticketing for connecting flights with its alliance partner Continental Airlines. Passengers now can use a single electronic ticket when traveling on both Copa and Continental in one itinerary.
“We are pleased to offer eTicketing for added convenience to our passengers,” said Jorge Garcia, Commercial Vice President, Copa Airlines. “Our new electronic ticketing capabilities make air travel easier, reduce paperwork and eliminate problems related to lost tickets.”
Copa eTickets are available at Copa ticket offices, via telephone at Copa Reservations, and at Copa airport ticket counters in Latin America, Miami, Orlando, and Los Angeles. Customers who purchase an eTicket by telephone will receive a receipt and itinerary via e-mail or fax, whichever they prefer. Those who prefer to purchase eTickets at Copa ticket offices or airport ticket counters will receive a receipt at purchase time. When checking in, all passengers must show a valid passport to receive a boarding pass.
Copa Airlines has a strategic alliance with Continental Airlines, including participation in Continental’s award-winning frequent flyer program OnePass(R).
