Amateur soccer players from Southern California celebrate after winning the $10,000 team purse at the Copa Verizon Wireless tournament, held Sunday, June 4, at the Home Depot Center in Carson, CA. Four teams, recruited by local Latino radio stations, competed for the championship. The Copa Verizon Wireless soccer tournament is part of the company’s on-going commitment to add to the excitement of soccer. John Palmer, Southern California Region President of Verizon Wireless, was on hand to present the team with their check and trophy.
