Credit One Bank Names Augusto Esclusa as Vice President of Hispanic Marketing


Las Vegas, NV–(HISPANIC PR WIRE)–June 19, 2007–Credit One Bank a leading credit issuer throughout the United States today announced the appointment of Augusto Esclusa as vice president of multi-cultural marketing. In his current role, Esclusa will be responsible for creating and implementing marketing communication programs for the U.S. Hispanic market, as well as overseeing other ethnic marketing initiatives within the company. He will report directly to Sam Dommer, Executive Vice-President.

According to recent data from Javelin Strategy & Research titled “Reaching Underbanked Latinos”, reaching the unbanked and underbanked Hispanic audience is an untapped market. Creating products that fit their needs and elevating personalized customer service to better serve new and existing Hispanic customers can further build loyalty and encourage the development of a more valuable banking relationship with this community.

Esclusa’s previous position was as senior marketing manager for MoneyGram International, where he was responsible for overseeing and establishing the company’s brand identity among its growing U.S. Hispanic customer base. Esclusa is also attributed with creating and executing grassroots efforts that helped the company maintain double digit growth for three consecutive years.

Prior to joining MoneyGram, Esclusa was an entrepreneur credited with launching, a Hispanic travel search engine.

Esclusa earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Hofstra University in New York and also dual undergraduate degrees in Marketing and International Business from New York University. He is fluent in several languages including English, Spanish and French.

Augusto Esclusa is a native of Caracas, Venezuela currently resides in Las Vegas, Nevada.
