Washington, DC and Philadelphia, PA–(HISPANIC PR WIRE)–September 19, 2006–The United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC) Foundation has named Sandra Ulsh, President of Ford Motor Company Fund, Honorary Chair of the National Youth Entrepreneurship “BizFest Competition.” The “BizFest” Competition will be held at the USHCC 27th Annual National Convention & Business Expo on September 20-23 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. BizFest is the USHCC Foundation’s signature youth entrepreneurship training camp-reaching hundreds of students each year. The national “BizFest” is the culmination of a series of regional BizFest Competitions held throughout the year in major cities across the country.

During the intensive 3-day training, the top winners of the regional BizFest Competitions will come to Philadelphia to learn key business techniques and how to turn their hobbies into profit-making ventures. “BizFest” participants will learn how to establish entrepreneurial and leadership goals, create plans for business and life, become effective leaders and team players, network in business environments, identify investment opportunities, learn to manage money and make presentations. Students will participate in a business plan competition and compete for financial awards, future entrepreneurship services, internships and scholarship opportunities.

As National Honorary Chair for the BizFest Competition, Sandra Ulsh will serve as the USHCC Foundation’s key strategic partner as it promotes and implements the National Youth Entrepreneurship “BizFest” Competition in Philadelphia. Prior to assuming her role as President of Ford Motor Company Fund, Sandra Ulsh was director of Public Policy, Governmental Affairs. Ms. Ulsh worked three years at American Bank and Trust before joining Ford as an economic analyst in 1978. She held numerous finance positions including vehicle pricing, vehicle program finance manager, manager of business analysis and business plans for Truck Operations, and manager of Investor Relations. Ulsh also serves as co-chair of the USHCC Foundation’s Honorary Advisory Council.
