DTM presents the fifth annual Latino Trendsetter Award


New York, NY–(HISPANIC PR WIRE)–June 16, 2006–The countdown begins for the giving of the Latino Trendsetter Awards, an award that celebrates Latino culture and recognizes the effort and dedication of the most outstanding leaders of the community.

On Friday June 23rd DTM continues a tradition that is in its fifth year, the magazine will recognize an important group of Latino Leaders / trendsetters in areas such as, Arts, Entertainment, Culture, Community Service, Health, Education, Corporate and Entrepreneurial Leadership

Isolda Peguero (Telemundo 47) is the master of ceremony. These awards have a special significance for the Latino community because in it we are recognizing US Hispanic leaders that make us all proud, comments Juan Guillen, founder and publisher of the magazine. During these last five years of hard work DTM has grown alongside the awards. For the first time, twenty people will be recognized with the golden trendsetter statue. The magazine has also opened its doors to a diverse public, incorporating content that impacts and connects with the Latino experience in the United States.

“The celebration of these awards also marks the re-branding of Dominican Times Magazine to DTM, hence, expanding our base and connecting with Latinos through the country. The award has grown in the number of people who are awarded and has slowly become a tradition for people who promote and elevate our culture. DTM has reemerged with a new look, diverse and relevant content that seeks to connect with the new generation of trendsetters to the elements of their culture.
