Inside the February/March issue of Ser Padres.
The core of the magazine revolves around “YOUR CHILDREN.”
This section offers the latest news for parents ranging from children’s books, to health and safety news, to cultural features. How Bad is That Cough, helps parents determine if a cough is just a cold and shares warning signs for more serious ailments. Twenty Ways to Raise a Veggie Lover gives tricks to help parents incorporate vegetables into every meal and the Q&A with noted Hispanic doctor Aliza Lifshitz, MD, allows readers to pose questions about their personal health concerns. This section also explores how to raise confident kids in a bicultural world.
Then, we created a place for moms called “YOUR LIFE.”
Our editors Vanessa Petit and Maria Cristina Marrero team up to offer Hispanic moms the latest fragrances, make-up and regenerative products to use in the comfort of their home. Moms can also read about pap updates, calcium supplements and a feature on warding off common health risks in Latin women. Ser Padres also offers a heads up on pregnancy issues including screening updates, weight loss and pre-diabetes.
The rest focuses on “YOUR FAMILY & HOME.”
Ser Padres will continue to offer family advice as well as practical information and inspiration for the home. Our financial pages include expert Jean Chatzky with her tips for shopping for the best family health insurance and a feature on how to avoid budget-busting bank penalties – from late fees to default interest rates. For the expectant couple, Ser Padres shares how a young family turned a spare room into a modern, storage-savvy nursery for their first child.
