Washington DC.–(HISPANIC PR WIRE)–Wednesday, March 4, 2004–Dust off your golf clubs and get ready to tee off at the Second Annual Enchilada Open Golf Tournament at the NAHP Inc. Annual Convention in Los Angeles. Following last year’s success at the Las Vegas Convention, The National Association of Hispanic Publications Foundation will hold the charitable “Enchilada Open” at the Brookside Golf Course in Pasadena, CA, on Wednesday, March 17th, 2004.
“The Enchilada Open” is a great social outdoor event that brings together distinguished names in entertainment, politics, press and business,” said Eddie Escobedo Sr., NAHP Foundation Chairman and the Golf Tournament’s coordinator. Escobedo is the name behind the success of the First “Enchilada Open” held in Las Vegas, hometown of his newspaper El Mundo, in 2003.
The funds raised at the Golf Tournament will go to NAHP Foundation programs such as the Hispanic Higher Education campaigns. In 2004, the Foundation distributed over 13,000 copies of the Hispanic Scholarship Directories in print and CD format, helping young Hispanics aspiring college education to reach their goals.
The Tee off will be followed by a luncheon where the Tee Awards will be presented to the golfers who have made their mark on the green. The “Enchilada Open” will conclude at the “Amigo Awards” Reception at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel at 6:00 p.m. At the Amigo Awards, NAHP Inc. members will honor their best advertising supporters.
Registration starts at 7:00 a.m. and the Tee off at 8:00 a.m. The Golf Luncheon and Tee Awards reception will be at 12:30 p.m. Registration fees are $250 per person, $750 per foursome, which includes gift bag, lunch and reception.
The Golf Tournament is sponsored by Anheuser Busch and will be held in the first day of NAHP Inc. Annual Convention, which will take place at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel from March 17 to 20, 2004.
