Kingston, Jamaica–(HISPANIC PR WIRE)–March 21, 2005–The White Witch golf course in Montego Bay, Jamaica, will host The Terrell Buckley Celebrity Golf Weekend April 15 – 17, under the auspices of NFL superstar Terrell Buckley. The star-studded event at the Ritz Carlton Golf Resort and Spa will raise funds and awareness for Mustard Seed Communities, an international charity committed to combating the cyclical crisis of poverty by supporting those most effected, especially handicapped and abandoned children, and marginalized communities.

As a result of Buckley’s longtime involvement with Mustard Seed Communities (http://www.mustardseed.com), he has organized this golf event to assist the organization’s expansion in Jamaica, where it has already created supportive village communities for orphans, children and families living with HIV/AIDS, pregnant teens and battered women.

The Mustard Seed project has garnered the attention of some of Terrell’s closest friends in the sporting and entertainment worlds. To date, Shaquille O’Neal, Marshall Faulk, Dan Marino, Beyonce Knowles, Scott Bailey, Michael Jordan and Shania Twain have committed to participate in the golf event and fundraiser.

The celebrity golf weekend will kick off on the eve of April 15, with a VIP cocktail reception, pairings party and silent auction at the Ritz Carlton Golf Resort and Spa. Golfing begins at 9 a.m. on April 16 at the White Witch, rated the number one course in the Caribbean by Conde Nast Traveler in June 2004. An all-out Jamaican beach party will conclude the weekend’s events on Sunday, April 17.

Celebrity Golf Weekend Package

An all-inclusive package is available for 100 guests who can mix, mingle, golf and reggae-dance with living legends all while benefiting the youth of Jamaica. The package costs $4,000 (based on double occupancy) and includes round-trip tickets on Air Jamaica, accommodations at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort and Spa, all meals and beverages and airport transfers in addition to a round of golf with the celebrities.
