Los Angeles, CA–(HISPANIC PR WIRE)–August 14, 2007–Spanish-language weekly publication <a href="http://www.elclasificado.com/"El Clasificado is currently experiencing one of the greatest increases in its history and now has a remarkable verified weekly circulation of 270,000, largely due to the growth of Hispanics in and around the city of Long Beach. This growth spurt has prompted the popular weekly’s publisher to create a new distribution region that focuses on the city of Long Beach alone.

El Clasificado’s unique distribution model combines geographic regions which group zip codes into “zones”, a key strength for the publication as it allows the magazine to be customized specifically for the region it serves. Before creating this new zone, Long Beach area readers of El Clasificado relied on the services offered for a larger area that also included the entire South Bay region as well as Long Beach. Now residents in Long Beach can easily find products and services they need closer to home.

“The city of <a href="http://www.ci.long-beach.ca.us/"Long Beach is currently the fifth largest city in the state of California,” explained Joe Badame, Chief Operations Officer of El Clasificado. “It was only natural for the publication to be customized to serve this region individually. The new zone will allow El Clasificado to tailor this region’s magazine in a way that benefits Long Beach area residents by allowing us to focus more intimately on their needs.”

The Hispanic population in Long Beach has increased in recent years: Hispanics comprise 36 percent of the city’s entire population, which has prompted El Clasificado to add an additional 350 locations throughout that city. Now the publication will have a unique version for Long Beach and surrounding cities such as Hawaiian Gardens, Artesia, Cerritos and Lakewood to meet the needs of the ever increasing segment.

<a href="http://www.elclasificado.com/"El Clasificado is a multi-media publication and advertising solutions company with solid advertising platforms in print, online and grassroots events. More than 1 million readers utilize the free Spanish-language publication every week as a source of information on everything from health and education to consumer alerts and real estate. El Clasificado is distributed in over 140 cities in Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside and San Bernardino Counties, and has a verified weekly circulation of over 270,000.
