Miami, FL.–(HISPANIC PR WIRE)–July 22, 2003–Today’s announcement that Crescent Moon Records, Panamanian Latin/Rock Trio, RABANES has earned a Latin Grammy nomination for their latest release MONEY PA’QUE continues their sensational conquest of breaking all International musical and cultural boundaries.
At ceremonies held earlier today at Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Miami, the Latin Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (LARAS) announced that RABANES’ critically acclaimed CD, produced by multi-Grammy winner Emilio Estefan Jr. and Sebastian Krys, MONEY PA’QUE (MONEY FOR WHAT) was nominated for “Best Rock Album by Duo or Group with Vocals”.
The album follows Rabanes’ sound of multi layered rhythms marked by a fusion of Ska, Caribbean, Reggae, Rap and Rock “Rabanes seem to have hit their stride with Money Pa’Que, an album that goes even further out on a limb in its fusion efforts”…Billboard Magazine.
Rabanes took the music scene by storm in 2001 when their self-titled album earned a Latin Grammy nomination for Best Rock Duo or Group. Since then they continue to make waves in all Latin/Anglo and crossover markets especially during their live performances which this year reached Latin America, United States and Europe. Rabanes is about to embark on a 4 city National Latin Rock Tour joining Molotov, El Gran Silencio, Maldita Vecindad on “Lo Mcximo Tour”. The tour sponsored by McDonald’s will donate proceeds to the Ronald McDonald House Charity “HACER” that raises money for Hispanic educational scholarships.

The 4th Annual Latin Grammy Awards will originate from American Airlines Arena in Miami and the show will be broadcast live on the CBS Television Network on Wednesday, September 3, 2003, at 9 p.m. (ET/PT).
