ARLINGTON, Va., Jan. 15 /PRNewswire-HISPANIC PR WIRE/ — The National Hispanic Corporate Council announced its 2009 board of directors. Yolanda Casey, Project Manager Visual Merchandising for Hallmark Cards, Inc. has been elected Chair.
Other Executive committee officers include Chair-Elect, Jose ‘Pepe’ Estrada, Director of Corporate Affairs, Wal-Mart Stores, Inc.; Secretary, Jon Munoz, Manager, Strategic Alliances, Sprint Nextel Corporation; and Treasurer, Yvonne Vargas, Regional Diversity Manager, for The Boeing Company.
Newly elected board members include Bob Jimenez, Vice President, Corporate Communications & Public Affairs, Cox Enterprises; Mercedes Jaime-Le Vvintre, Corporate Manager Supplier Diversity, SuperValu and Alejandro Hernandez, Vice President, National Alliance Manager, Diverse Growth Segments, Wells Fargo. The board members will assume their responsibilities at the annual board planning meeting in January. They will be formally introduced to the membership at NHCC’s spring meeting, April 7-9, 2009, in Kansas City, Missouri, hosted by Hallmark Cards, Inc. and Sprint Nextel Corporation. NHCC will hold a pre-conference CEO Forum hosted by Sprint Nextel at their corporate headquarters. Dan Hesse, Sprint President and CEO and Don Hall, Jr., President and CEO of Hallmark will host two additional CEO’s from the Kansas City area to meet and discuss diversity and inclusion. The member conference follows the CEO Forum and the topic will be ‘Diversity: The Business Case in a Changing Economy.’ The NHCC’s 2009 meeting calendar will include its fall member conference, October 21-23, 2009, hosted by Wells Fargo at their Corporate Headquarters in San Francisco, California.
