Rep. Filner and the FHLBSF will host a roundtable discussion to examine how FHLBSF members work within Chula Vista and Imperial County to tackle affordable housing challenges. Participants will address:

— Barriers Latino families face on the path to homeownership

— The status of $2.1 million in Affordable Housing Program (AHP) grants awarded to the San Diego area in 2002

— How $6 million in AHP grants over the last 11 years has impacted the 51st Congressional District in California

— Credit needs of communities served by FHLBSF members

— Positive effects of affordable homes for community businesses and government

Representatives will be available to answer questions and provide information about homeownership opportunities and assistance for Chula Vista residents.
