MIAMI, July 16
/PRNewswire-HISPANIC PR WIRE/ —
Starting
in July, Mexico TV will broadcast the OPENING TOURNAMENT OF THE LIGA DE ASCENSO
2010, with live, direct coverage of the first days match between IRAPUATO and
DORADOS this Saturday, July 17 at 8 pm EDT/ 5 pm PDT.

The Mexican Football
League tournament is especially important. While in First Division soccer teams
compete for a championship, the Liga de Ascenso is about something else: taking
center stage, the chance to go up against the big teams, and also getting
noticed by the elite.

"To top it off,
this is also the Bicentennial Tournament celebrating 200 years of Mexican
independence and 100 years of the Mexican Revolution," said Silvia Merino,
VP of Programming at Mexico TV. "Besides being remembered for years, the
winner will take away honors that will be hard to match."

Competing for the
important honor will be such prestigious clubs as Leon, which in the last
tournament just barely missed being promoted after losing to Necaxa in a final
that had fans on the edge of their seats. Leon has since signed the famous
Jared Borgetti, a key reinforcement they hope will help win them the promotion
this time around that fans have been waiting for.

Besides Leon, teams
such as Freseros de Irapuato, Alacranes de Durango, Los Xolos de Tijuana,
Atlante UTN, Correcaminos, Albinegros de Orizaba, Pumas Morelos and Reboceros
de la Piedad are sure to provide plenty of exciting goal-filled action, brought
to you thanks to Mexico TV.
