MIAMI, FL–(HISPANIC PR WIRE)–August 26, 2002–Hispanic PR Wire (HPRW) has hired Dalia Salazar, former director of the Freedom Forum Library at the Inter American Press Association (IAPA) and a Latin media expert, as its new vice president of media services.

While at the Freedom Forum/IAPA library, Salazar was responsible for providing research to the major Latin American publications, their newsrooms and directors. Salazar spearheaded the Latin American News Libraries consortium project that boasts of 32 members. She also provided research for universities, government think tanks and journalists in Latin America. Additionally, Salazar collaborated with the Foreign Press Center at the Department of State to create an International Press Center for foreign journalists.
Prior to joining the IAPA Salazar was a Business Analyst for Florida Power and Light.
Born and raised in Lima, Peru, Salazar has lived in the United States for 11 years and has a Masters of Science degree in Information Studies from Florida State University. She has a Bachelors of Science degree in Psychology.
