MIAMI, Oct. 21 /PRNewswire-HISPANIC PR WIRE/ — The Spain-United States Chamber of Commerce (“The Chamber”) announces their 30th annual black-tie gala will be held at The Biltmore Hotel (1200 Anastasia Avenue, Miami) on Friday, November 6, 2009. The Chamber facilitates the strengthening of businesses, investments and cultural ties between Spain and the United States.
The event will recognize the accomplishment of Spanish-based companies and professionals throughout the country and this year will celebrate the merit of three individuals and one company respectively. Hon. Alberto Nunez Feijoo, President of Xunta de Galicia; Mr. Pedro J. Ramirez, director of El Mundo Publications and Mr. David Bisbal, Grammy-winning pop singer will be honored with the Universal Spaniard awards. The Company of the Year will be presented to IBT Group, LLC (“IBT”), a holding group specialized in the development and implementation of turnkey construction and equipment projects for public entities.
“The recipients of these awards are candidates chosen for their outstanding professional contributions as Spaniards in the United States,” said Jose Luis Esteve, president of The Chamber.
Notable guests confirmed to attend the gala include Ms. Marian de la Fuente and Mr. Carlos Herrera, master and mistress of ceremonies. The evening will begin with a red carpet arrival and cocktail reception at 8 p.m. followed by a three-course sit-down dinner at 9 p.m. Speeches and a recognitions ceremony will take place during dinner.
