The Latin Recording Academy(R), Eventus & Univision Celebrate the Fifth Year Anniversary of the Latin Grammy(R) Street Parties

Miami, FL–(HISPANIC PR WIRE)–September 28, 2007–Celebrating its fifth year anniversary The Latin Recording Academy(R), Eventus and Univision announce the 2007 Latin GRAMMY(R) Street Parties. The “Street Parties” will kick-off in Chicago’s Plaza Garibaldi on Sunday, September 30, and will continue in South Florida (West 16th Ave. between 37th & 41st St., Hialeah) on October 7th; Dallas (Jefferson Street between Tyler & Van Buren) on October 14th; Los Angeles (Placita Olvera) on October 21st; culminating in New York City’s Washington Heights on October 28th. This month-long celebration highlights the enthusiasm, quality and diversity of the U.S. Hispanic communities and will culminate with the eagerly anticipated 8th Annual Latin GRAMMY Awards in Las Vegas on Nov. 8, 2007, airing on the Univision Network (8 – 11 p.m. ET/PT).

The 2007 Latin GRAMMY Street Parties are presented by Chevrolet, McDonald’s, and WaMu. Official sponsors include Verizon Wireless and Gibson Musical Instruments. The only national Latin music festival series will continue to feature performances by some of Latin music’s hottest artists while serving as a launching pad for emerging talent representing various genres, including reggaeton, regional Mexican, pop, spanish rock, and tropical. This year’s talent roster includes Graciela Beltran, Los Rieleros del Norte, Dinastia de Tuzantla, Bronco, Duelo, Los Cuates de Sinaloa, La Autoridad de la Sierra, Barrio Kings, Xtreme, Issac Delgado, NG2, among others.
