Miami, FL–(HISPANIC PR WIRE)–June 19, 2006–Easily surpassing all attendance expectations by both artists and guests of honor alike, Mega TV threw a spectacular beach party this past June 15th, to launch its exciting new summer programming schedule. The star-studded event was held at the Historic Di Paolo Palace residence on 27 Star Island, carrying breathtaking views of Biscayne Bay.

Rashel Diaz, the well-known host of the “La música.com” show was the mistress of ceremony for the night, which began with a broadcast of the station’s new programming promotional video. The video highlighted five new innovative shows that will shine on prime time: “Transformaciones”, “Love and Sex”, “El Show Más Estúpido de la Televisión”, “Mega Modelos” and “El Megáfono”.

The night’s musical show was kicked off by Mexican singer Joaquín Torres, the newest talent coming from Universal Music Latino and Guitian Brothers. Cynthia Hudson-Fernandez, SBS Executive Vice President and Chief Creative Officer, followed by thanking the Company’s clients for all of their unmitigated support. Cynthia then introduced Raul Alarcon Jr., SBS Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, who welcomed all of the guests and new talent into Mega TV’s family.

The night’s program continued with a performance by singer Javier Garcia, who rocked the crowd with his popular hit “Dinamita”. The evening then proceeded with an exquisite cocktail party where guests enjoyed various canapés, ceviche and fois gras paté, among other delicacies. The tables, decorated to reflect the evening’s beach theme, held cheese, fruit and crudité trays. The event’s open bar, which offered fine white and red wines, also enticed guests with a drink that brought a smile to the guests’ faces – Crazy Love on the Beach!

Upon entering the mansion, guests were surprised to find a lively sand Fustball game being played by bikini-clad models. Once past the party’s mega blue carpet entrance, the pool-side decorations created the perfect beach ambiance, thanks to the tons of sand and thousands of sea shells that were brought into the Di Paolo residence. The historic’s mansion’s grounds served as a backdrop to bamboo rugs, dozens of loung chairs, beach balls, beach pails, lifepreservers, and a tiki bar surrounded by torches and gigantic candles which were lit as night fell.

Our Mega TV artists and guests – including Emely, Erika Ender, Franco Iglesias, Héctor Montaner, Jorge Moreno, Luis Enrique, Marta Rahulín, Naldo, Rey “El Vikingo”, Robert Avellanet, Sissi, Tito Puente Jr. and Zacarías among others – left well into the evening, gushing about the party’s original and unique style that characterizes Mega TV and its new summer programming.
