Orlando, FL–(HISPANIC PR WIRE)–August 7, 2007–With the assistance of the representatives of the 32 teams participating in the cup, plus important political and media personnel, the great drawing that united 15 countries that will be represented on the playing field came to life. The greetings in Spanish, English, Creole, and Portuguese, gave the event a special atmosphere. If you add that to the amazing view one had from the Sky Box overlooking the stadium that seats 70,000 people, one can better comprehend the expectancy that is generating in the Azteca America Cup.

“Playing in a World Cup stadium, being interviewed by the whole press, feeling part of a tournament that unites 800 soccer players from Florida, it is something that has never happened in this state, turning into a unique experience for most of the participants”, commented Mario Ragazzo, president of Azteca America Central Florida.

The Azteca America Cup will be held from September 28 to October 21, with games on Saturdays and Sundays throughout four consecutive weekends. The first game will be between a team representing Colombia USA, and the America, representing Mexico. The games will be single elimination.

All the games will be played in the Citrus Bowl and will be covered by La Prensa, El Nuevo Día, La Raza Hispana, El Sentinel, Planeta Deportivo, La Voz, Radio La Ley, Radio Viva 1160, and other media. Also, the games will be heard on the radio throughout all of Central Florida and the East Coast.

Azteca America Central Florida will televise the tournament with a summary of each day. Starting August 7, exactly 51 days before the inaugural game, Azteca America will air the program “Camino a la Copa”, hosted by the journalist Alonso Garcia. In this new local program, there will be interviews, prize drawings, and we will get to know in detail every team that will be battling for the cup, which stands just over three feet tall and is coming directly from Mexico.
