ESPN Deportes Teams Up With the USA Domino Federation for the VI World Domino Championship

Championship to be Held in the U.S. for the First Time Players Will Compete for $30,000 in Prizes and a Chance to Make History

WHAT: ESPN Deportes is teaming up with the USA Domino Federation and the International Domino Federation to organize the VI World Domino Tournament at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort in Orlando, Florida. United States domino enthusiasts will have the opportunity to compete with 22 other countries and win cash prizes while helping break the Guinness World Record(TM) for “Most People Playing Dominos.” Also, the finals will include a special performance by singer/songwriter Linda Lopez with her debut of this year’s theme song, “Solo Una Vida.”

The VI World Domino Championship is open to domino players 18 years old and over, who can choose to play either Double Six or Double Nine domino styles. There will be a Grand Prize of $5,000 for each game category, with a total of $30,000 awarded between both categories. For the first time in a professional domino event, the USA Domino Federation will have a youth exhibition ages 12 – 16 with a big participation from Orange County After School Program students.
