Washington DC–(HISPANIC PR WIRE)–March 10, 2004–Both general market publications and Hispanic publishers must find innovative ways to draw more readers and advertising dollars. Mario Garcia Jr. of Garcia Media, will keynote the ever-growing challenge of attracting and keeping readers at the Thursday Luncheon of the National Association of Hispanic Publications Inc. Annual Convention in Los Angeles.

“There are different types of readers today and publishers should implement new ideas to sell content and make the reading experience more compelling,” said Garcia, who has worked with over 50 publications including The Wall Street Journal, The Miami Herald and Hispanic Business magazine.

Garcia Media, with offices in Tampa, Chicago, Buenos Aires, Argentina, and Hamburg, Germany, is an information design firm that includes a team of top consultants in newspaper design, magazine, Web strategy, branding and corporate communications.

“Our work and teachings are based on the WED philosophy, a combination of writing, editing and design as basic principles for effective communication of ideas,” he said.

Garcia has also led projects for corporations such as Volvo Car Manufacturers, Epson Printers and JP Morgan Chase Bank.

“Redesigning is one of the great keys to achieve success. Garcia Media has accomplished winning projects with the Hispanic Print,” said Francisco Lozano of La Opinion and Co-Chairman of the Convention.

NAHP Inc. Annual Convention will take place at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel in Los Angeles, from March 17 to 20, 2004. Over 200 NAHP publication members will attend the Convention, and, this year, NAHP Inc. estimates that over 450 participants will come to the event.
