Miami, FL–(HISPANIC PR WIRE)—March 1, 2005–How many times have you gazed at your little one and wondered what it would be like to be them, to really feel and understand how he is growing and changing and learning everyday. Parents in Miami now have a fun and unique opportunity to experience the world from their baby’s perspective… literally!
The Pampers Inspired by Babies exhibit will take part in the celebrations during Miami’s own “Sunday on the Mile” on Sunday, March 6, and “Calle Ocho” on Sunday, March 13. Parents who visit the free mobile exhibit will be inspired and encouraged to see the world through their baby’s eyes so they can better understand and support their children as they learn and grow.
“We believe that when we see the world through the eyes of a child, we learn how to make it better,” said Kirk Perry, North America Vice President and General Manager, Pampers Baby and Toddler Care. “The Inspired by Babies exhibit gives us the opportunity to share baby insights with parents and help moms and dads put themselves in their baby’s booties so they can support and encourage their children’s development.”
The centerpiece of the Pampers Inspired by Babies exhibit is the mobile experience, which includes a 45-foot truck that opens out into three rooms, each representing a distinct stage of baby’s development. New and expectant parents can visit:
— The Swaddlers(TM) Room – This room offers parents a look at the world through the eyes of a baby (newborn to six months), starting from the baby’s most comfortable and familiar point of view — inside the crib. Visitors will experience a baby’s changing vision, from about 20/1000 at the moment they open their eyes, to a bright and colorful 20/100 at six months. Parents can also learn about the sensitivity of a child’s skin through touch pads, which demonstrate “softness” from a baby’s perspective.
— The Cruisers(TM) Room – Visitors will look at a family room from a new point-of-view – that of a baby who just pulled himself up to peek over a table top (with mom nearby of course!). Parents will smile as they get in step with the challenges of learning to walk for the first time by standing on a wobble board that simulates the instability of baby’s little legs. Picking up an animal cracker is far from child’s play when parents don oversized gloves – simulating the difficulty of the “pincer grasp” for the six-to-nine-month set.
— The Toddler Room – The Toddler Room offers a look at baby’s changing world as they make the transition from babies to toddlers, then from toddlers to “grown-up” kids. A flip mirror illustrates how moving from diapers to training pants can help a child go from feeling like an infant, to feeling like a “super kid.” Parents also will appreciate how hard it is for toddlers to learn shapes and colors through a touch-screen game.
Audio and video clips and signs throughout the exhibit provide additional information to help adults understand key milestones in baby’s development.
The Pampers Inspired by Babies exhibit is free and open to all parents, grandparents and caregivers of young children interested in learning more about seeing the world through a baby’s eyes, so they can better understand and support their children as they learn and grow.
The first 100 parents to arrive at the exhibit during “Sunday on the Mile” and “Calle Ocho” will receive a free Pampers gift pack with Swaddlers(TM) diapers, Pampers wipes, and a photo memory box with a retail value of $20. The exhibit is open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday, March 6 at “Sunday on the Mile” and again on Sunday, March 13, at “Calle Ocho.”
