Palatine, IL–(HISPANIC PR WIRE)–November 19, 2007–Weber-Stephen Products Co., the premier manufacturer of charcoal and gas grills, has extended the voting deadline for its “Únete a la Onda Latina… ¡a Weber!” grilling contest.
The top-five U.S. Hispanic finalists, descending from Peru, El Salvador, Guatemala, Cuba, and Mexico will continue to have their grilling videos featured on http://www.ondalatinaweber.com and online votes will be accepted until Monday, Dec. 10.
The original November 16 deadline was extended after Weber discovered its internal computer server, which hosts all its websites, had experienced technical difficulties for a few days. Although all the votes were recorded during the periodic outages timeframe, Weber wants to ensure that everyone interested in voting is able to view the finalists’ videos and cast their vote in case the website did not function properly.
The new December 10 deadline has been posted on the website (ondalatinaweber.com) and the top-five finalists have been contacted about the extension. The grand prize winner, who will receive two round-trip airline tickets (value of $3,000) to a selected destination in Latin-American, a professional grilling class and opportunity to appear in Weber’s next Spanish advertising campaign and/or part of media publicity, will now be announced on Friday, December 14.
