Los Angeles, CA–(HISPANIC PR WIRE – BUSINESS WIRE)–March 20, 2007–The companies that comprise the Farmers Insurance Group of Companies launched a new Web site (ichoosefarmers.com) geared towards attracting bilingual candidates (especially English/Spanish speaking) for positions in the offices of its district managers and agents around the country. The site is part of a larger initiative by Farmers to help position the company as a leader in the insurance and financial services industry within the Hispanic marketplace.

Farmers recently kicked off its first large-scale diverse advertising campaign featuring actor, community leader and Farmers company spokesperson Edward James Olmos. The campaign includes television and print ads, as well as direct mail and online Web banners.

“It’s an exciting time here at Farmers and we are seeking qualified, bilingual candidates that want to be part of the company’s tremendous growth,” said Faye W. McClure, Vice President of Strategic Marketing. “The landscape of America is changing and Farmers wants to be ready to meet the needs of its customers by providing the best customer service possible. And although the site is geared toward the Hispanic/Latino market, we invite all bilingual/multilingual candidates to visit the site.”

The Web site presents potential candidates with information about Farmers, its commitment to emerging markets and the opportunity to sign up for a FREE ichoosefarmers.com account profile to search for opportunities as a reserve district manager, agent, agency producer or customer service representative with the company’s agency forces. More than 350 district managers and 600 agents have posted more than 900 career opportunities on the Web site. To date, nearly 45 new candidates have been appointed to various positions within the Farmers agency force across the U.S. through http://www.ichoosefarmers.com.

“We wanted this Web site to be visually impressive and still provide relevant information for candidates looking to start or transition their careers. This site does more than just present static information. It offers candidates a view inside Farmers and how they may become part of the Farmers family,” said Kenneth Adams, project manager for ichoosefarmers.com. “The company is very committed to reaching out to emerging markets. Whether it is African-Americans, Hispanics/Latinos, Asian-Pacific Americans, women, etc., we want the company’s infrastructure to reflect its customer base.”

One of the first items candidates will see on the Web site is a video message from Olmos that invites them to become part of the Farmers family. The navigation is easy, meaningful and concise. Farmers worked with Coyote Design Group in Los Angeles to coordinate the Web site’s look, color palette and overall experience.

“As a Latino, and a diverse business owner, I was honored to work on this project with Farmers,” said Stephen Sarinana-Lampson, principal/creative director of Coyote Design Group. “My company has helped Farmers create and launch several diverse, award-winning Web sites, including this new one geared toward bilingual candidates.”
