New York, NY–(HISPANIC PR WIRE)–January 23, 2004–The Committee for Hispanic Children and Families, Inc. (CHCF) will hold its 4th Annual Gala, “A Slice of Latin America” on Tuesday January 27, 2004 from 6PM to 10PM at Guastavino’s, 409 East 59th Street between First Avenue and Sutton Place, New York City. Executive Chef, Douglas Rodriguez of OLA has assembled 26 fabulous New York chefs. The evening includes “tastings,” dancing, Silent Auction and entertainment by famed percussion group Psycho Samba.
Participating restaurants include OLA, Agazar!, Calle Ocho, Voyage, Agave, Alma de Cuba, Brasserie 81/2, Ciao Bella Gelato Café, Dos Caminos, Rosa Mexicano, Olive’s, Roy’s New York, Cité, Zarela, Zocalo, Sueños, Sushi Samba 7, Tribeca Grill, Victor’s Café, Noche, Salon Mexico, Zona Rosa, Paladar, Gustavino’s, AIX and Pamapano.
Honorees are Maxine B. Baker, President & CEO, Freddie Mac Foundation, and Robert Levite, Vice President of Marketing of Wendy’s International.

For over 20 years CHCF’s programs have worked to improve the life for Latino children and families through community education, after-school and family literacy programs, childcare training and referral services, programs for new immigrants, and public advocacy at the city, state and national levels.
