New York, NY–(HISPANIC PR WIRE)–September 26, 2005–Mexico´s beaming actress Geraldine Bazán has been invited as a grand marshal of the 29th annual 2005 Grand Hispanic Parade in Queens, New York. The parade is on for this Sunday, September 25th at noon in Jackson Heights along 37th Avenue between 69th and 89th streets.
Geraldine Bazán (Soñar no cuesta nada and El Amor no tiene precio), appears along with other grand marshals including Venezuela´s Lupita Ferrer, Cuban Francisco Gattorno, Yenny Paola Vega (María Full of Grace), child actor Ángel Claude (Amigas y rivales), Helen Marshall, Ivonne García, Queens County, stunning models from “Latiníssima Internacional de Eddie Ferreira”, and consulate officials from participating nations. Eduardo Giraldo of the local chamber of commerce is the parade´s organizer.
Geraldine was recently the guest of honor at the 56th “Mexican Independence Day Parade in East Los Angeles along with Verónica Castro and Sergio Corona. They rolled down Cesar Chávez street between Lorena and Mendik. Parade leaders were invited by the Patriotic Civic Mexican Committee, Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, and the parade´s director, Jorge Fernández.
Last night, Geraldine was glowing on the red carpet at Univisión´s Premios Juventud accompanied by child actor Konstantino Vrotsos. Last month, Geraldine received the Palme d´Or in Phoenix, AZ from Phil Gordon for a music career spanning 15 consecutive years and was nominated best young actress for the INTE awards.
Geraldine Bazán launched the opening of the Puerto Vallarta Zoo in México, along with Oswaldo Sánchez, Ana Luis Peluffo, Oscar Rugieri, Patricia Rivera, Lalo Medina, Antolín Gómez, child actor Ángel Claude, the Castañeda Jiménez family, Jorge Martín, Rosy, Lucha y Sol.
