Pfizer Helpful Answers Community Educational Tour visits Los Angeles

WHERE:

WHY:

According to the 2004 U.S. Census Report, 13.7 million Hispanics do not have health insurance. Pfizer recognizes the Hispanic community’s need for access to health care. Pfizer will visit the Los Angeles Hispanic community to distribute information about Pfizer Helpful Answers, a family of programs developed to help people without prescription coverage save on many Pfizer medicines, regardless of age or income. People with limited income may even qualify to receive their Pfizer medicines at no charge. In 2005, Pfizer helped 121,300 California residents fill Pfizer prescriptions through this program. “The health insurance gap in our community is a significant problem,” said Dr. Eduardo A. Gonzalez, Executive Director. “We are very pleased to have initiatives such as Pfizer Helpful Answers, which offers some relief to the community, and we invite everybody interested in receiving this important information to join us.”

Media members are invited to join Clínica Romero during the Community Educational Tour to find out more details about the program.
