Four Seasons Hotel Miami, which is scheduled to open October 1st, is receiving a special delivery on Thursday, September 18th.
The first piece of its extensive, $3.3 million art collection will arrive by crane. The 8ft, 2000lb sculpture – “Seated Woman” – by celebrated Colombian artist, Fernando Botero, will be hoisted onto the Hotel’s 7th floor pool deck at 10:00am. The piece will be displayed in the 7th floor lobby.
Photographers are invited to see the sculpture make her grand entrance to the Hotel.

Background on Fernando Botero:
Fernando Botero is one of the most important Latin American artists of our time. Born in Medellin, Colombia, Botero studied art in Italy, though references to his homeland are evident in his work. His art has global appeal and his works are present in some of the world’s finest museums, galleries and private collections. Most recently, his pieces were on display in Venice, Italy lining the city’s streets and plazas.
