Englewood Cliffs, NJ–(HISPANIC PR WIRE)–June 4, 2003–Summer is here time to relax and take off! Wherever you go, always remember to look your best throughout your vacations. There is nothing worse than arriving at your destination to find your clothes looking like they’ve become a piece of Origami art. Those linens and cottons need special attention! Niagara Spray Starch offers some helpful hints for keeping your clothes looking great while on the road:
— Don’t over-pack! If some of you are like us you tend to over-pack, and probably only wear 50% of what you pack. Trust us, sometimes less really is MORE!
— Iron or touch-up clothes using Niagara Spray Starch before packing. The starch helps add body to clothing and reduce wrinkling, and don’t forget to let the starch absorb for 30 second to prevent flakes on your fabrics, especially in linens and cottons.
— Put heaviest items on the bottom, and build up layer by layer.
— Minimize wrinkles by packing shirts buttoned. Fold clothes as little as possible. Be sure to fold them as close to the waist and seam. As you fold clothes, put tissue or plastic dry cleaner bags between the folds or layers.
— Roll underwear, socks and lingerie, and place around the edges of the bag. Even though you don’t want to over stuff your bag, you do want your garments to fit snugly in a bag to avoid sliding and thus unwanted wrinkles.
— Most hotel rooms offer an iron. Use it! Supplement that with a travel-size lint brush and a 15 oz. can of Niagara Spray Starch for those emergency touch ups. You will also save lots of money, since most hotels in top cities charge up to $5.00 for starching just a blouse.
— Steam can help add some dampness and heat to the item before you iron. Hang items in the hotel bathroom while you shower, and allow the steam to penetrate. Then iron while garment is still slightly damp.
— When you arrive, unpack as soon as possible. And of course, hang up your clothes!
