DALLAS–(HISPANIC PR WIRE – BUSINESS WIRE)–March 6, 2003–Hispanic Broadcasting Corporation (“HBC”) (NYSE:HSP) today announced the promotions of four company executives.
Claudia Puig, Vice President and General Manager of the HBC radio stations in Miami, has been promoted to Senior Vice President and General Manager for Miami; Peter Moore, Vice President and Regional Manager of the Western Markets, has been promoted to Senior Vice President and Regional General Manager/Western Markets; and Mark Masepohl, Vice President and Regional Manager/Texas Markets, is now Senior Vice President and Regional Manager/Texas. The Company also announced the promotion of Tim Ward to Vice President and Treasurer of HBC.

Puig joined HBC in October of 1996 as General Sales Manager of the four Miami radio stations and was soon after promoted to Vice President and General Manager of the stations. With eighteen years of broadcast management experience, Puig has held positions with increasing levels of responsibility within Spanish radio in South Florida. She has worked at SBS, Spanish Radio Network, and Tichenor Media/Heftel Broadcasting. Puig is well recognized for her dedicated service to the community. She serves on the Board of Directors of the United Way of Miami-Dade, the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce, the American Cancer Society, the Orange Bowl Committee, the City of Miami Arts and Entertainment Council and the Florida Association of Broadcasters (FAB). Puig was recently appointed by Governor Jeb Bush to the Board of Trustees of Florida International University.
Mark Masepohl joined HBC in October 1998 as General Sales Manager of HBC in Houston and was then promoted to Vice President and General Manager of the stations in October of 1999. Masepohl was once again promoted to Regional Manager for the HBC markets in Texas in October 2001, overseeing the operations of the company’s radio stations in Texas. Masepohl began his career in 1984 when he joined McGavern Guild as an Account Executive and subsequently held various positions in sales and management. Masepohl is actively involved in community and civic endeavors. He currently serves as Vice Chairman of U.S. Savings Bonds, a board member of the Community Family Center and a member of the Go Tejano Committee for Houston Livestock and Rodeo Show.
Peter Moore joined HBC in 1998 as Vice President and General Manager of HBC in San Diego. In December of 2002, Peter was named Vice President and Western Regional Manager overseeing the markets of San Francisco, San Diego, Las Vegas, Phoenix, Fresno and Albuquerque. Prior to joining HBC, Moore was General Manager of Jacor’s XTRA(AM/FM) in San Diego, XHTZ/XLTN/XHKY for Califormula in San Diego/Tijuana, and KCBQ(AM/FM) in San Diego. He began his radio career in 1969 as an on-air personality in Hartford, Conn. on WCCC, WDRC and WRTC. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the YMCA, the Board of SAFE (San Diego Advertising Fund for Emergencies) and the San Diego Radio Broadcasters Association. Moore received his Bachelor of Science degree from Trinity College in Hartford, Conn.
Tim Ward joined HBC in January 2000 and was most recently Assistant Treasurer. Prior to joining HBC, Ward was a Senior Analyst at AMFM and a Financial Reporting Manager at The Associates. He began his career as an Auditor with KPMG Peat Marwick, after serving internships at the U.S. Commodities Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) in Washington, D.C. Ward graduated from Baylor University with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree and received his Master of Business Administration degree from Southern Methodist University. He is also very involved in civic endeavors and has been instrumental in mentoring and developing underprivileged youth. Ward has served on the Board of Literacy Volunteers of America, and recently joined an advisory board at Baylor University.
