New York, NY–(HISPANIC PR WIRE)–December 20, 2007–Hispanic Information Telecommunications Network (HITN-TV), the first Spanish-language educational and cultural network in the United States, has announced its programming specials for the holiday season.

Coco and Drila Christmas Adventures

With this Christmas special animation children and parents can celebrate and enjoy the spirits of the holidays with the story of Coco and Drila and their adventures with Santa Claus. December 25. 10:00 a.m. (ET) and 4:00 p.m. (ET)

A Very Wompkee Christmas

A heartwarming story of courage and laughter of the magical world of Wompkee Wood for the whole family to enjoy.

The Nutcraker

The Nutcracker, has over the years become the perfect Christmas holiday ballet.

This spectacular performance of the Royal Ballet of London will air on HITN-TV December 25. 7:00 p.m. (ET).

Placido Domingo Gala Concert in Miami

Superstar tenor Placido Domingo comes to the Miami Arena and gives an evening of musical delight to a standing-room-only crowd. Joined by American soprano Ana Panagulias, Domingo presents a bounty of favorite arias, duets and songs by Puccini, Donizetti, Meyerbeer and others. December 25. 9:30 p.m. (ET)

William Cepeda’s Jazz Navideño

The Program will present Puerto Rico’s Música Jíbara. Cepeda’s Group, led by Mariano coto, is internationally known as master of the Island country music tradition. Their stirring renditions of the often intense sung poetry and their instrumental mastery will open the concert. Following their presentation of traditional jíbaro music, Cepeda’s Afro Rican Jazz band will debut Cepeda’s original compositions inspired by jíbaro traditions but taking the music to an entirely new and innovative level.
