Battle Creek, MI–(HISPANIC PR WIRE)–October 17, 2005–The Kellogg Company announced today the line up for its 2005 Musi Kellogg’s Concert Tour that will support education within the Hispanic community through partnerships with the Cesar E. Chavez and Celia Cruz Foundations.
The three-city tour, which is in its third year, presents some of today’s hottest names in Latin entertainment, including Rogelio Martinez, Ricardo Montaner, Gilberto Santa Rosa, Olga Tañon, and Los Temerarios, while also giving back to the Hispanic community. The tour will feature the best of Latin rhythms including regional Mexican music in Los Angeles, while Miami and New York will host a mixed line up of Latin pop, merengue and salsa entertainers.
During the 2005 Musi Kellogg’s Hispanic Concert Tour, Kellogg’s will also present a total of $25,000 to the Celia Cruz Foundation in the Miami and New York concerts, and a total of $25,000 to the Cesar E. Chavez Foundation at the Los Angeles event. These donations will support musical education scholarships and will provide funding for Pre-K-12th educational programs for Hispanics students, respectively.

The tour also coincides with Hispanic Heritage Month and the unveiling of Kellogg’s Cornflakes Hispanic packaging that will commemorate the legacy of prominent Hispanics by featuring musical icon Celia Cruz and civil rights activist Cesar E. Chavez.
The Celia Cruz Foundation fulfills a longtime dream of Celia Cruz, affectionately known as the “queen of salsa.” Its mission is twofold: to provide financial aid to young Latino students of all ages wishing to pursue musical careers as well as provide funding for the fight against cancer. The Celia Cruz Foundation works in partnership with The Celia Cruz High School of Music in New York and Miami-Dade Community College in Miami and will be awarding scholarships to Hispanic students at those schools.
The Cesar E. Chavez Foundation was created to promote the legacy of civil rights and farm worker leader, Cesar E. Chavez. Its objectives are to promote programs that will enhance the lives of Hispanics, specifically, in the areas of education, health, immigration and youth development. The Foundation will fund service oriented educational programs to over 300 Hispanic students in order to help decrease risk behavior and help promote civic responsibility in Los Angeles.
Through these donations and its support to these organizations, the Kellogg Company aims to help promote educational programs for Hispanics students, one of the key issues affecting Hispanics(1) nowadays.
