GLENVIEW, IL,–(HISPANIC PR WIRE)–November 7, 2002–Today, Kraft Foods, the world’s leading cheese manufacturer, announced the introduction of a new product created to meet Hispanic consumer expectations and taste demands. Hispanic families can now add a new item to their shopping lists: new KRAFT® Singles Manchego processed slices. KRAFT Singles Manchego is a mild and creamy flavored cheese that is ideal for melting and is delicious in quesadillas, sandwiches or just as a snack.
KRAFT Singles Manchego provides traditional Manchego flavor in the convenience of cheese slices. KRAFT Singles Manchego is already popular in Mexico, due to its well-liked flavor, versatility of usage in home cooking, and because it is a good source of calcium. Now available in select areas of the U.S., KRAFT Singles Manchego is excellent for traditional Hispanic recipes, such as quesadillas, tortas (sandwiches), empanadas, tortillas de papa (potato omelets), and more. Additional recipe and usage ideas are available on http://www.ComidaKraft.com.
“We are very proud to add KRAFT Singles Manchego to our family of products. Consumers’ needs are at the heart of everything we do at Kraft. This product was developed with our Hispanic consumers in mind-it’s a flavor profile they want and we are proud to deliver,” said Linda Crowder, Director of Multicultural Marketing Group, Kraft Foods.
Hispanic Moms can find KRAFT Singles Manchego in a bilingual package, providing them with all the information they need about the product. “KRAFT Singles are a favorite with Hispanic consumers. KRAFT Singles Manchego combine the authentic flavor of Manchego cheese with the Kraft name, one mom trusts to provide her family with quality, great tasting cheese,” said Georgia Wang, Senior Associate Brand Manager, Kraft Foods.
The product is currently available at select grocery stores in Los Angeles, San Antonio/Houston and Chicago. In addition, local celebrity chefs will provide consumers with delicious quesadilla samples made with the product at local retailer and consumer events in the upcoming months. For example, in Los Angeles, consumers can try KRAFT Singles Manchego at the Fiesta Broadway Event (April 27th), Cinco De Mayo Celebration (May 4th) and the Mexican Independence Day Event (September 14th).
