San Francisco, CA–(HISPANIC PR WIRE)–October 4, 2006–La Alianza de Fútbol Hispano, the nation’s leading organization dedicated to the development and support of Hispanic amateur soccer, announced today that the Southwest Airlines “$1,000,000 Kick Sweepstakes” will make its way across the country this fall as part of Alianza’s national Hispanic amateur soccer tournament series – the Copa Lowe’s. The sweepstakes will offer fans attending Copa Lowe’s tournaments, as well as players in the hundreds of leagues that Alianza works with, the opportunity to register for the “Southwest Airlines $1,000,000 Kick Sweepstakes”.

At the beginning of 2007, one lucky contestant’s name will be randomly drawn from the pool of registrants. The contestant and a guest will be flown by Southwest Airlines to Los Angeles, and will have the opportunity to attempt the kick for the $1,000,000 cash prize during the Copa Lowe’s Nacional III. The contestant will have to make a 20 yard kick with a #5 regulation size soccer ball through the designated target. Famed Mexican soccer start and ex-national team captain, Alberto Garcia Aspe, will be on hand to root for the lucky contestant.
