Los Angeles, CA–(HISPANIC PR WIRE – BUSINESS WIRE)–November 1, 2007–The Latino Coalition, an umbrella organization for many of the nation’s leading Hispanic business advocacy groups, has expanded beyond its Washington, D.C. base to include new administrative offices in Los Angeles.

“Given that Hispanic population and small businesses represent the fastest growing segment of the U.S. economy we have added a new administrative office and plan a major West Coast presence,” Hector Barreto, Chairman of the Latino Coalition, said.

The Latino Coalition announces two additional Small Business executive briefings remaining for calendar year 2007 which will be November 2nd in Dallas, Texas, and December 12th in Little Rock, Arkansas. These workshops will focus on topics that will assist small business in the area of procurement, financing, and marketing. In addition, the Board of Directors announced the resignation of long-time director Robert de Posada, who will pursue personal business endeavors. “We thank Robert for his contribution to TLC and wish him success,” Hector Barreto, Chairman of the Latino Coalition, said.

With its new West Coast headquarters, TLC will be rolling out a very aggressive 2008 plan in major markets across the U.S. that will raise the level of awareness about Hispanic issues in a positive manner and influence policy by providing essential resources to community-based organizations.
