The 16-week mobile kitchen program intends to create and promote Mexican traditional recipes, making them available to “home cooking” aficionados across the country. The tour also seeks to share cooking secrets that consumers can use in their daily meal preparations and family gatherings. Scheduled tour stops include retail stores and major Hispanic events in San Jose, San Diego, San Antonio, Houston, Dallas and Chicago.
The 31-foot long, 8-foot tall specialty vehicle is designed to portray the La Costeña “home”, bringing the warmth and fun spirit of the Mexican culture to attendees. Equipped with its built-in state of the art kitchen, the mobile tour will feature authentic Mexican dishes such as chicken with mole, nopalitos salad and chipotle dip to be enjoyed by consumers on-site. In addition to the recipe sampling, consumers will have the opportunity to participate in fun family-oriented activities and win instant prizes.
