Sonia Manzano, Maria character and Emmy winning writer from the popular Sesame Street and George H. McCracken, Jr., M.D. expert in children’s infectious diseases, will be inducted into the Ambassador David M. Walters International Pediatric Hall of Fame at Miami Children’s Hospital.
Florence M. Groover Frank will be presented with the Humanitarian Award “Gift of Joy.”

The Miami Children’s Hospital Foundation raises funds and awareness for Miami Children’s Hospital, its programs and projects. Working together, the foundation and the hospital are committed to ensuring that no child will ever have to leave this region to receive state-of-the-art pediatric care. Each inductee into the Ambassador David M. Walters International Pediatric Hall of Fame at Miami Children’s Hospital must meet strict qualifications. The person’s contribution to helping children must have an international or national impact and it must be stellar in nature.
