IRVING, Texas, Dec. 10 /PRNewswire-HISPANIC PR NEWSWIRE/ — First Choice Power has launched a new bill design that will save paper and provide easy-to-read information for customers who need and want to know about their electricity usage.
Starting this month, First Choice Power customers will receive a two-sided monthly bill on recycled paper, designed to reduce waste and help the environment. Now, 93 percent of bills will be on one sheet of paper.
“Having a two-sided bill is part of our commitment to help the environment,” said Brian Hayduk, president of First Choice Power. “We’re taking extra steps to ‘go green’ and achieve a more positive environmental impact.”
The move to double-sided printing and letter-sized paper will save nearly 100 trees per year and during the next few years will save two large tractor trailers worth of paper.
“The new bill saves customers time and energy because reading it is easy,” Hayduk added. “We listened to our customers and are putting more clarity around what they want to know about their energy usage.”
The new bill includes a simple layout, personalized messages, colorful design and usage graph for each location. Customers will receive instructions this month on how to read the new bill.
To help the environment further, First Choice Power encourages its customers interested in saving paper to sign up for Paperless Billing and automatic payments; these billing options allow customers to cut paper clutter and have their bills paid automatically. Once signed up for Paperless Billing, customers will receive an e-mail that their electronic bill, along with the bill inserts and coupons, is available online.
With automatic payments, the bill amount can be automatically paid each month by credit card or from a checking account. Customers can collect their credit card reward points along the way and never miss a payment.
